Why are you choosing to join Transition Rogers Park?
I'm a former CPS teacher who's in the process of designing a new residential Chicago Public School and I hope to incorporate concepts of sustainability and farm to plate living into the students' daily routine and consciousness.
What background or talents do you have that you can contribute to Transition Rogers Park?
I would love to help arrange and host a community dinner that showcases food/herbs from our gardens.

DIG is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to improve the health and well-being of HIV-positive and other at-risk individuals in developing nations. We do this by teaching the skills and providing the infrastructure to create sustainable community gardens, thereby empowering people to improve both their nutrition and earning potential.

Thanks for posting these events. I'd love to go - especially to the July 15th gathering at the Field Museum but have prior commitments. I'm hoping that others not only might attend one or both . . . . but perhaps even do a brief "report back"? These are important issues . . . . .

It was good to meet you at yesterday's workshop! Would you have time to meet with Cynthia and me during the next few weeks so that we can get to know you better and to learn more about your concept for a residential public school? What little you've shared to date seems to capture much of what we are talking about.
