Movie looks like it's good. Environmental lobbying day in Springfield, however, and also another event downtown. Pretty booked for the day, it seems.

Very wonderful and worthwhile project. I'm sure someone will turn up for composting, though not me. Rafi Bratman has been doing some gardening with his Sunday School class. He might be able to help, though his gardeners are younger than yours, but e…

Someone earlier was concerned about getting their soil tested. If I remember correctly, lead was a large concern. Here is a link that will provide some answers for whoever it needs it. http://mail.google.com/mail/?hl=en&tab=wm#inbox/12187c486a8e6314

Hi, You pups sure are energetic, which, as an old school guy, I have to admire. 1. I'm not a master gardener, only limited experience myself. 2. I think the U of I may do soil testing... 3. There is no "Chicago soil" underneath. There is Chicago cla…

Hooray for the urban gardening group!

Our first workshop was terrific - we'll be doing a second one. And - we'll be working in our front yard in a few weeks (after the chickens arrive). Any interest in helping out?
